We both left our jobs within Northumbria Police in 2013 to take over Helping Hands Dog Services from my parents who now run Helping Hands Mobile Cattery. We have both been brought up with furry Dog & Cat siblings! My Grandparents also ran a Cattery in Nottinghamshire and my Grandad was an RSPCA Inspector, so it was only natural for us to work with animals. Stephen and I are the owners of our nine year old husky cross Heidi who we rescued when she was just ten months old. My parents were actually picking up the HH furry kids for their group walk at the time when Heidi started to follow their car, my mum then rang me for the dog warden’s number. With Heidi not being chipped we offered to take her home until the owners contacted. When no one came forward after a year she was officially ours! Heidipops is such a character and always smiling, we don’t know where she came from but happy she found us! Stephen and I are very passionate about the job we do, this isn’t just dog walking; we are responsible for taking care of your dogs, securing your homes as well as keeping sensitive information safe! . We have also completed a vets4pets First Aid course in August 2016.
